defense drop free happy key shot stretch throws win
We had to win this thing with our defense because offensively ... the shot would just not drop for us tonight. We made enough key free throws down the stretch and we had some really key stops. I'm just really happy to get away with a win tonight.
complete efforts focus help team ten trying win
My complete focus and efforts are on trying to help my team win a Big Ten championship. That's my only concern.
journey midst obviously special team tremendous win
Obviously a tremendous, tremendous win for our team and our program. We're in the midst of a very special journey right now.
against broke energy five focus since tells ten title top wins
Since those things broke we are 7-2, and five of those wins have come against top 25 opponents. There's a Big Ten title in there, and I think that tells everyone where our energy and focus has been.
anxiety basketball brink feeling games good knowing maybe needed nerves pressure seems team ten winning year
Maybe your anxiety and nerves are different. Every year it seems we're on the brink and not knowing how many games we had to win or in '01 knowing we needed to win all of them to get in. It's a different feeling this year. There's the pressure that we think we're a pretty good basketball team and winning one of the two Big Ten championships is out there.
fortunate grind point wins
When you get to this point of the season, all wins are difficult. We were fortunate to grind out the win.
against five game top wins
This was a big game in a lot of ways. If we can get five wins against Top 25 teams, that's pretty special. You can't take that away, and it bodes well when we look at the postseason.
commitment continued felt last moves necessary progress seasons six straight successes term towards winning wins
With 46 wins in the last two seasons and six straight winning seasons, they have contributed to a lot of the successes we have enjoyed. In my long term commitment towards the future, I ... felt these moves were necessary for the continued progress of the program.
difficult games hard homes league losing played regardless risk road run shots top win
It's very difficult to win road games, but it's hard to win homes games (too). If, all of a sudden, you don't play well -- a game where you don't make shots or where you're not on top of your game defensively -- you really run the risk of losing regardless of where the game is being played ... This league is very demanding, very difficult.
incredible journey midst special tremendous trying win
It's a tremendous win for our program. We're in the midst of a special journey. We're trying to win something. It's going to be an incredible battle, but this was a big hurdle.
experience hard league win
It was our first experience to be here (first place) by ourselves. Everyone was a little too uptight. You have to go through it first; that's why I think it's very hard to win a league championship.
appreciate basketball behalf brian commitment continued director efforts extended felt hard hard-work last move moves necessary operations past program progress rich seasons seven six straight successes toward winning wins work
We appreciate the hard work and efforts that Rich and Greg have extended on behalf of this program over the past seven years. With 46 wins in the last two seasons and six straight winning seasons, they have contributed to a lot of the successes we have enjoyed. In my long?term commitment toward the future, I wanted to move Brian to director of basketball operations and felt these moves were necessary for the continued progress of the program.
bad days extremely four games hard prepare shooting shot win
We shot extremely well. You have to make shots. It's hard to win four games in four days when you have one or two bad shooting nights. And you have to prepare to play four games, not just one.
best fully team understand win
We're at our best when we do things as a team defensively. They fully understand that if we're going to win, we're going to have to win it at that end.
