This election is about choice: A government plagued by scandal, that is only in it for what it can take, or our new team, who want in to public office for what it can give.
This party will not take its position based o-n public opinion polls. We will not take a stand based o-n focus groups. We will not take a stand based o-n phone-in shows or householder surveys or any other vagaries of pubic opinion.
That is how I want my time in public office to be. I'm here to do a job. I'm not here to join a club. I'm not here to buy into a lifestyle.
We will improve Canadians' faith in our public institutions by making government more accountable and effective.
Our mission is clear. We will restore faith and trust in our public institutions as we keep Canada strong and united.
You know, the public health system is the only one most Canadians have ever used. It's the only one my family has ever used. We've just got to make it work.
The Liberal party thinks public money is a party election fund,
I can assure the Canadian public that the Conservative Party, having been out of office for most of the last 100 years, doesn't think it has a divine right to rule, and we're certainly going to listen to what other parties have to say.
I'm sure he'll do us proud over there.
I'm really looking for a clear signal that in fact he wants to defeat the government,
The biggest thing I want to do on foreign policy is to increase Canada's foreign policy capacities, whether they be in foreign aid, or military capacity or disaster assistance. We want Canada to be able to do more.
Strong Canada-U.S. relations are a priority for my government.
That is not value for money and it has to stop.
That is the allegation that is beyond the pale in this campaign.
