One thing that Eddie gives us is a guy who can try to drop off the front line and come at the defense a little bit.
I knew it was going to take time to get in a rhythm, and we finally did for a while in the second half. Up until that third (Kansas City) goal, I thought it was just going to be a matter of time.
It's important to recognize the memory of Connor and to endow his scholarship. There are things in life that are bigger than sports and this is one of those things. We are pleased that our organization is able to honor his memory, Ohio State and soccer.
We talked about doing this two weeks ago. It has nothing to do with the last game. Neither he nor Kyle Martino were as effective as they needed to be, but our expectations for him are still very high.
We wanted to continue doing the same things we were doing. We knew they were going to come up with a little more pressure so we wanted to try to get the ball out to the right. We got the ball to (Kyle) Martino but he was ineffective and Jacob (Thomas) also sort of disappeared.
We are very excited about the addition of Tim Ward. He is a very good young player with a bright future ahead of him and he can play a number of different positions.
Between those two, we definitely need someone to step up and talk. Marshall has been in the league for a while and hopefully that will come more from him. I think Marcos is willing to talk, but he just needs to learn the language a little better.
We should have scored more. Their keeper came up big a couple of times, but we had a few chances that we needed to finish on.
Adding Ezra is a big plus for us. He has championship experience and is a player who I have a long and positive history with and who will be a valuable addition to our team.
Sometimes you've got to go with what your gut tells you, and my gut said this is a move we needed to make. ... One thing Eddie gives us is versatility.
You need a bit of luck, too. The mood and confidence in the team are right. No-one should view us as a source of easy points.
I have great confidence in what I've seen from Kei in the past and if it turns out half as good, I'll be very happy. Kei is somebody I've liked for a while and he has a huge upside.
I didn't agree with that statement then and I don't agree with it now. For us, the way we played tonight ... 0-0 would have been good for us today. To snag a victory makes it all the more satisfying.
Sebastian is a very attractive player. He has a huge pedigree in soccer and he has a strong desire to play in the States. He has the potential to be an impact player in this league.
