cannot life procedure scientific understand whether
I cannot understand for the life of me why DOE is going forward with this licensing procedure when we do not know whether or not the scientific documentation upon which you are basing your decisions is, in fact, flawed.
affordable burying efforts facing fewer forward given growing industry looking minutes moving nevada nuclear obstacles outside passing power storage support vegas voices waste
There are growing voices in the nuclear power industry that support looking at alternatives to burying nuclear waste 90 minutes outside Las Vegas given the insurmountable obstacles facing Yucca Mountain. With each passing day there are fewer and fewer justifications for moving forward on efforts to bury nuclear waste in Nevada when on-site storage is safe, affordable and already in use.
biased business coast congress contrary develops economy employer equally fairly gaming good gulf help incentives industry jobs provides rebuild region tax treated view withhold
Congress must not withhold incentives to rebuild from any employer that provides good jobs and tax revenue, if we want to revive the economy of this region, ... Contrary to the biased view of some, the gaming industry must be treated as fairly and equally as any other business when Congress develops legislation to help the Gulf Coast region rebuild.
compliance district endangered fastest growing species though
It's in compliance with the Endangered Species Act, even though its the fastest growing district in the country, ... It hasn't slowed down growth.
downward fill gaps industry looking members money nuclear project science store throwing ways
This project is in a downward spiral, even members of the nuclear industry are looking for other ways to store the waste, and throwing more money at this problem-ridden albatross will not fill gaps in the science because the science is not there.
attention fact ncaa responsibility taking
Again, this is taking attention away from the fact that the NCAA has responsibility for these kids,
alternate both coming common disposal extremely finding foolish goal hatch keeping nevada nuclear path pursue senator states stop together toward utah waste work
I think it is extremely foolish and shortsighted for Senator Hatch to pursue the path he's been going down, ... The only way we're going to stop nuclear waste from coming to Utah or Nevada is for both states to work together toward one common goal and that is keeping the waste where it is and finding alternate disposal technology.
across cannot nuclear plants power reason remain safely stored waste
High-level nuclear waste is already being stored at nuclear power plants across our nation, and there is no reason why it cannot safely remain there for decades,
america brutally eyes former iraq regime tortured
In the eyes of many, America is no different than the former regime in Iraq that brutally tortured and intimidated prisoners.
conduct department hen watching
For the Department of Energy to conduct this investigation is like the fox watching the hen house.
ask bank except gave knew money pure return understand
I can't understand how DOE could not ask for the money back, ... If a bank accidentally gave you money that is not in your account, you must return it. Same thing here, except Bechtel knew about it. This is a rip-off pure and simple.
add amount discuss fact industry locations mountain nuclear number plants power rather reduce remain site waste
The industry does not want to discuss the fact that as long as nuclear power is being produced, some amount of nuclear waste will always remain at the plants where it was generated. Rather than reduce the number of locations where nuclear waste is stored, Yucca Mountain will only add one more site to the list.
bill blueprint continued dependence energy fossil gas higher house nuclear prices
The House energy bill is a blueprint for more nuclear waste, higher gas prices and a continued dependence on fossil fuels.
acts condemning congress defense department far favor house joint preferred rather relying reported resolution solely today voted
The House resolution I voted in favor of today did not go far enough in condemning the barbaric and dehumanizing acts that have been reported in Iraq. Rather than relying solely on the Department of Defense to investigate these incidents, I would have preferred that Congress authorize a full-scale joint inquiry.
