We had some big goals to keep tying it up, but we needed to find a way to get that lift and to get the one to get the lead. We never managed to get the lead.
You grow up playing five games in three days in tournaments. It's like going back to peewee hockey again.
We played the whole game in our zone and we can't afford to do that. This is a challenge to each one of us in this room to be better.
We have to stick together now. No one is going to feel sorry for us. We have to find ways to pull ourselves out of this.
That was huge. Johnny's one of those guys that you really cheer for because he does so much for us every night.
He's a big man. You never want to be caught in his tracks.
He's a fiery guy. The way he played is the way he coached, and you love that as a player to know that your coach is on your side and is into the game as much as you are.
He's 19 points ahead of the next closest guy on our team. He's able to create things from nothing on offense.
I was so excited and so honored to be named part of the team, and for that to happen, it blows my mind. I've done absolutely nothing (wrong), and I've had to defend myself through all of Canada.
Obviously you want to be on the team but there's at least 100 Canadian players that could easily be on that team. The group making the selections will have a tough decision on a lot of guys.
To get momentum like that is huge. We've got to find a way to keep it going. We've let it slip away too many times.
When you get a chance to play with him you know it's going to be creative, it's going to be fun. Nothing is better than that when you play hockey.
When we play as a team with five men, we're solid. It's when we get trying to do individual stuff that we really struggle.
Tonight I think we picked up our desperation and urgency. We need to do that, or else we were going to be in trouble.
