It was Stephen's first time on the mound in a game situation and he did an unbelievable job. You can't ask a lot more from your pitcher than that, and then Mason came in at the end and finished it off.

Again the pitching did an excellent job for us. Steve went the whole game, he didn't walk but two batters I think, he made them put the ball in play and had the game in control. That's what you want to see out of your pitching.

We've been solid at the plate all season and I have faith in everyone that steps up to the plate. We had 22 hits the first day of the Sweetwater tournament and I hope we have more performances like that this weekend.

We had the error with two outs there that should have ended the inning, but other than that I believe we're getting better with every pitch defensively.

We have to capitalize when we get the opportunity to get those runs across. That's what they did, and we just couldn't tonight.

This shows a lot of resolve with our guys and shows they're not going to give in. They fought to the very end. We knew we had to score some runs there, and we did it. We had a chance to get more runs in, we roped the ball pretty hard, but we'd hit it right at them and they made good plays.

We did a pretty good job when they scored of coming back in the bottom of the inning and putting one up to keep the momentum away from them. It was very important for us to do that in that it kept everybody's head up and we stayed positive.

It was a great way to get back on the winning track and put Saturday behind us. The guys competed well and we played hard.

It's a 10-team tournament and we are using wooden bats that somebody's furnishing. It's going to be a good deal and the kids are looking forward to it.

There's a reason they're 3-0 in district. They came out with hot sticks. They're a good hitting ball club and put the ball where we weren't.

For the tie-breaker, we go to the books and it's broken down into runners to third, runners to second, runners to first and hits. We were tied at third base 5-5, then won it 7-5 at second.
anxious community defend excited guys healthy home hope support
The guys are real excited and anxious to defend their home field. We're all healthy right now and we hope the community will come out and support us.
