I'll admit it's a little surprising, but all the factors were enough to push New Jersey into the top five this year. The economy is the bulk of the state's strength, but New Jersey has other factors going for it, such as a 95 percent graduation rate among high school seniors.

We love 'lounge' culture, that era in the early '60s with all those bright colors, Dean Martin and what not. It's just part of the whimsy we want to bring to the store. We want Strangelove's to be the kind of place where, if you're having a bad day, you can come here and get cheered up.
