came everybody game guys happy hard hear locker night serious single took word
I know every single one of those guys was happy to be there and was happy to join. I know that word will get out to other guys that this is something you want to do. I tell you what, we took it serious. The game the other night when we lost, you didn't hear a word in the locker room. Everybody was disappointed. We took it serious and went out there hard but we just came up short.
I'm going to be smart. This is my team. If I'm not 100 percent, I'm going to let them know.
beat hit home
I'm different than a lot of pitchers. He hit a game-winning home run. Hey, you beat me. You can do what you want.
game head hit left middle mistake paid plate win
I left that one over the middle of the plate and he hit it real far. I can't let him win the game like that. I made a mistake and paid for it. I want to get back out there (tonight) to keep my head up.
eighth fine francisco happy job man perfectly pitching rest setup watching
I'm happy where I'm at right now pitching the seventh, eighth inning ... doing my job and then watching Francisco (Rodriguez) come in and do his job. I'll be his setup man for the rest of my career. That's fine with me. I'm perfectly fine where I am.
ready wake
You have to wake yourself up and get ready to play.
arm dead next recognize sooner time
After I tightened that up, my dead arm went away. Hopefully, I'll recognize that sooner the next time it happens.
rotation starters starting team
The starters are what make our team better. Our starting rotation is a lot better than what it was in 2002 -and you've got a right fielder who makes us a little better, too.
everybody few frankie giving good guys innings knows lead looking past seventh strong throwing
If we have a lead in the seventh inning and you're throwing him two innings and Frankie one, we're looking pretty good, ... Everybody knows what Escobar can do, and he's giving guys like myself and Brendan Donnelly some rest. And if you look at what we've done the past few weeks, we're as strong as we've ever been. That's a pretty good thing to have.
caught happy lucky swing
I got lucky on that, ... I caught a little too much of the plate. I'm happy he didn't swing at it.
caught glad swing
I got lucky, ... It caught too much of the plate, and I was glad he didn't swing at it.
confident games won year
Bart won 21 games this year for us, ... We feel confident with him on the mound.
wish
I wish we could go out there and play again, ... I wish this was a doubleheader.
best hits home strange wish work
It's going to be a little strange to see him in another uniform. It hits home right there that it's a business. He put in a lot of work for this team, so you wish him all the best but not on Wednesday.
