level
This is what we're all working to achieve. To get to the level they're at.
double figures five four night people playing tremendous
We typically have four to five people in double figures each night and that's made a tremendous difference. They're just playing better together.
cut deficit overtime plays saw team tough turned
We say that if our team plays with intensity, we are a tough team. When we turned it on, we saw the results. We cut an 18-point deficit into an overtime game.
beat court faced worry
We have to worry about Butler. When we faced them on our court last, they beat us.
beaten came chip confidence great hats held incredible intensity played top
Hats off to Butler. They played an incredible game. On top of that they came in with a chip on their shoulder. They haven't beaten us in a while. They came in and played with great confidence and great intensity and held strong.
actions commitment leads presence shows vocal
She's not a real vocal presence out there. That's just not one of her strengths. She leads by her actions and commitment to winning. And she shows that on and off the court.
aggressive athlete athletics emotion emotions good inside passion plays presence score
She's aggressive and she's a good athlete that plays with a lot of emotion and a lot of passion down on the blocks. She has really been a big difference-maker for Butler. They really haven't had an inside presence in a while. To come in here and score 28 on us is pretty incredible.
balance dominant great guards ingredient inside knew missing opened post pressure success team took year
We knew (a dominant post player) was a missing ingredient the year before. She took a lot of pressure off our guards and really opened things up for them. Any team that's had success usually has great balance inside and out.
team
This team is that good. We know it and we know what we need to do to be successful.
baptism bit conference journey philosophy
It's been my philosophy to play a very challenging non conference schedule. It's been a little bit of a journey and baptism by fire, but it's been a big help.
great league quest steal win
They had a great look. When you can steal one like this in the quest for a championship, that's huge. If you're going to win (the league title), it has to come through here.
hoping night sleep thinking wake
This is what you play for. This is why you wake up everyday, hoping for that championship, where I can't sleep at night thinking about it.
against asset ball bigger court energy great guard lead size skills strength stronger teammates teams vision
Jodie is a taller, stronger guard with great fundamentals and skills at her position. She has great court vision and can get the ball to her teammates to make them successful. Her size and strength will be an asset for us against some of the bigger teams we play. She also has a lot of energy and is a great communicator. She will be able to lead this team by not just her actions, but with her voice.
gone left minute
If there was another minute left on the clock, it could have gone the other way. It was that kind of a game.
