attitude body coaches coming country difference everywhere excellence great knew reactions seeing small
Every country we'd go to, I could see the reactions of the other competitors and coaches -- they knew they were seeing something special. His excellence in surfing, coming from such a small body and a young mind, was the difference between him and the others. He always had a great attitude and made friends everywhere we went.
against best game hard match obviously small work
We're a small team, and it was kind of hard to match up. This was like a measurement game for us to see where we stand, against the best of the best. Obviously we've got some work to do.
adding again buddies changes fitness heard love messages program realize receive small spirit testimony
This program was a testimony to the spirit of change. We heard over and over again from our Fitness Buddies about how the small changes they were making every day were adding up to a better sense of well-being. Every day I receive messages from Fitness Buddies that make me realize how much I love my work.
along awhile bass came collective detroit group honest lots met music people played recorded sat small stripes white
We met a lot of people in Detroit and we all got along really well and we were all like-minded. I played bass with the (Detroit) Cobras for awhile and I recorded on the first White Stripes record and sat in with lots of other people. We all kind of came up together. It's an honest association. It's a small collective group of people who played music and were into the same thing before all the hype. We all have the same roots.
last mistakes playing points small team time work
We made some mistakes to let this thing get to where it was, but last time I looked, we had more points on the scoreboard. We were playing a top-15 team in the country, and that's no small achievement. It wasn't a work of art, but we won.
achievement football fourth kept playing saying small team
Playing a top-15 football team in the country, not a small achievement. But we do have a way of making it interesting. 'Why can't we do this easy?' I kept saying in the fourth quarter.
bread cake cannot diabetes discipline eat enjoy great identify mean means order piece potatoes rather rewards skip small
Having diabetes doesn't mean that you can never enjoy a piece of cake or pie. It does mean that you may have to identify what you will skip - for example, bread or mashed potatoes - in order to have a piece of cake or pie. It also means that you cannot eat the whole pie, but rather one small piece. If you do have diabetes ... discipline now will have great rewards later.
control gun momentum normally run side surprised tried worked
We tried to keep the momentum on our side and control the tempo. We don't normally play a run and gun style, so I was surprised that when we sped up the game, it actually worked in our favor.
hole inside might tried
We tried to get one inside on him. We thought we might have had a hole there but he made the adjustment.
believe buy count decisions falls instead kids major regular shut six starting team tech
We just want the kids to attack. We'll count up the takedowns at the end of the year. We want them to be aggressive, to not shut down for six minutes. We want them going for major decisions instead of regular decisions, tech falls instead of majors, falls instead of tech falls. We want them getting team points, to buy into the team concept, and they're starting to believe in it.
adding bricks
We just got keep adding bricks to the mansion.
carefully climb crash crew entire feeling hatched helm holding mistake opposite rig side southern spike storm sweep top yacht
We were out there in the Southern Ocean, feeling very insignificant in a big part of the planet, ... At any minute, another storm would sweep in. We hatched a plan: Spike and I would climb up and jury-rig the fitting. As we started the climb, I told the crew that they must helm the yacht very carefully on the opposite tack, as the rigging was only holding up one side of the mast. If the helmsman made a mistake while we were up on the mast, we'd crash down over the side with the entire rig on top of us.
dug half last ourselves played second six wish
We wish we could have started the second half better. We dug ourselves into a hole. But these last five, six weeks, we've played great.
list medication people refer
When I take my medication I refer to my list of people not to call. It's a long list.
