changed took
He changed the game, and took us out of what we wanted to do.
changed game score took
He's very good. He changed the game on defense. He took us out of what we wanted to do and I didn't score the way I have been.
care win
We don't care if we win 2-0. A win is a win.
next played practice prove run week
I don't run from problems. The next week at practice I played with a sense of urgency. I wanted to prove myself.
national respect won
You have to respect Zidek. He won a national title, too.
coach free happen kept says shooting throws whatever
I don't know what coach is going to say Monday, but whatever he says I'm going to be shooting free throws in practice. I usually can shrug off going 0-for-2, but, when I kept missing, it got pretty frustrating. I can't let that happen again.
defense forgiven forgiveness free game great history lost matter played shot
If we had lost this game the way I shot free throws, I would never have forgiven myself. When it's all said and done, it doesn't matter how we won. We played great defense and we won, and that's how it's going down in the history books.
accepted accidents best easy national ncaa second team
There are no accidents in any NCAA Tournament. There are no accidents being a championship team. Because it is a one-and-done situation, there are no second chances, no easy games. What national championship team hasn't been accepted as the best team in the country?
build definitely far forward looking step
Just getting back was a big step for our program. This year, we definitely want to build on that. I'm looking forward to going as far as we can.
hold hurts
It hurts pretty bad, and it swelled up. But there's nothing that's going to hold me back. I still have a pulse.
bring few injuries intensity physical practice translated
He's a tough, physical player, and that's how we play in practice and that's how it's translated over to the game. I'd take a few more injuries if he's going to bring that intensity in the game.
games lose sixth wide
The Pac-10 is wide open. If we lose two games on this trip, we'll go from first to sixth in a hurry. We can't let that happen.
box everybody glass goes guards help hit hustle needs team
Hustle is big. That's a team effort. Everybody needs to hit the glass this game. Our guards need to get in there. Me and Luc need to box out well. Their whole team goes (to the glass) well, so we're going to need all the help we can get.
biggest definitely face game good guys high losing riding rival slap stopped thinking woke
Guys were probably riding high before that game thinking we couldn't be stopped before that game. That was a slap in the face. Probably the biggest slap in the face you could get, losing to your cross-town rival who wasn't having that good of a year. It definitely woke us up.
