Early, he was topping out about 84 (mph), throwing BP fastballs. Obviously you can't keep pitching down in the zone at 85, so he elevated a few balls and we were unable to square them up.

We could've hung our heads after the first loss the first night, but we didn't, won a close ballgame last night, got some big hits tonight. We are good fastball-hitting team, but Arroyo kind of showed us tonight that you are going to have to make adjustments a lot of times because guys are not going to give in with the fastball.

We are going to swing the bats. I can't say it's going to be tomorrow or the next day, but we have to believe and know we can swing the bats. These kind of things kind of take their time, take their course. We are a couple of hits away from mounting a rally.

I was waiting on a good pitch to hit. I was trying to stay out of a double play in that situation. I fouled off some pretty good pitches. I got on top of a fastball and I got it into the gap.
