I use mainly a glass slide. It has a completely different tone and feel from a metal slide. A lot of people play slide and put it on for a few tunes, but I have it on at all times. I completely incorporate it into my style.
Cowboys weren't allowed to kiss girls in pictures, so one time I gave Dale a little peck on the forehead and we got a ton of letters to leave that mushy stuff out, ... So I had to kiss Trigger instead.
We'd put some zip to it, add some character, some identity.
So many people loved him through the years, that I just didn't have the heart to put him in the ground.
It's a trio, but it's really an ensemble. When you come to one of my shows, it's not just two guys backing me up. That would be boring.
