giving guys month rotation trying
Radke is going to be in the rotation, Silva is going to be in the rotation, Lohse is going to be in the rotation and we're just trying to get them through it. We're in the first month of the season, so you've got to keep giving these guys the ball. What they've done around here and how well they've done around here for such a long time, you just have to keep giving them the ball.
bits lots pieces possibly trying
We're all trying to find out as much as we possibly can. There have been lots of bits and pieces but nothing substantial to find out what's really happening. We want to find out what's going on before we make any announcements.
fun happening night perfect playing reach scenario situation trying
You know it's fun to see some things happening a little bit. It hasn't been great, we know it's not going to be a perfect situation or scenario because our expectations were one place and we didn't reach them. But you always have to look for positives. You're playing every night and that's what we've been trying to do.
goal learning matter quit stop trying
My goal is to never stop learning and to never quit making adjustments, ... no matter where you are in this game. I'm always trying to make myself better, and I think I did that today.
chased chasing few trying
Now we are trying to get back up there and see if we can get back in the playoffs, so we're chasing them. They chased us for a few years and we're chasing them right now.
ball exactly finally hard himself last pitches points time trying zone
Well, he got himself into it, so I can't exactly give him points for getting out. I think the last inning, he finally got some pitches down, but a lot were up. That's something we've been working on and really trying to get him to keep the ball down better in the zone and keep his angle. He had a hard time today. But he got through it and didn't implode.
baseball bit early few healthy hopefully next pitching series ship struggling time trying
We're struggling a bit right now, trying to find our way and trying to get healthy at the same time early in the year. We've got a lot of baseball left, so hopefully we'll right the ship in the next few series and play a little better baseball, pitching and defense.
battling people trying
We're trying to survive. We've got injuries. We've got people out. I think we're battling pretty good.
double forth guys home keeping mental plate throw trying
Trying to throw out guys at home plate when we should be keeping the double play, ... It's the mental part of the game, and that's where we have to toughen up again. We're going to put forth a big effort.
bore expect full guys hard loss stop team trying win
It's another disappointing loss for us. The guys are battling. We've got to win games, and we're going to try as hard as we can. I expect this team to go out full bore and win. We'll never stop trying to do that.
against force guard guys happy letting looks nice odds player talk trying
I want the whole player back. You have to guard against letting him get out there and trying to force too much or letting him do too much early. It's nice to see and I'm really happy that he's back out there running around, because when it happened, there was a lot of talk that some guys never come back from this. It looks like he's beating the odds right now.
five innings pennant race runs trying
We did everything we could, ... You're in a pennant race. ... We're trying to win. Five runs in two innings -- you can't go with that.
clubhouse greatest leader trying
We were trying to get him to come back into the clubhouse where he was the greatest leader I've ever seen. He wanted to do it.
against feels game hat last ownership players tip trying
I tip my hat to him. I'm not trying to go against ownership or anything like that, but I've always said that players should get as much as they can in this game - because it doesn't last that long. I say congratulations to him, and now let's play baseball. That's the way he feels too.
