fun mean thinking
People think that it's fun to meet celebrities - but what do you mean by "celebrity"? Someone you recognise? What are they famous for? It's people who've done something that are exciting.
mean pasta meals
My ideal meal would probably be the cheesiest pasta or pizza, followed by something creamy and chocolaty. I mean, just the worst things, really.
mean gay people
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. Some people are offended by mixed marriage, gay people, atheism. So what? F*** 'em.
mean artist giving
There are good and bad critics like good or bad artists. A good critic says why they didn't like it. A bad critic gives it away that they don't like you as a person. I quite like that as well, because it means that I've won.
believe mean burden-of-proof
It annoys me that the burden of proof is on us. It should be "You came up with the idea. Why do you believe it?" I could tell you I've got superpowers. But I can't go up to people saying "Prove I can't fly." They'd go: "What do you mean 'Prove you can't fly'? Prove you can!"
mean offended
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
character flawed forget good john
I'm a flawed character. I'm good at that. ... I'm your man. If you want John Wayne, forget it.

I'm from a little place called England ... We used to run the world before you.
audience audiences
It was like an audience with the Pope,
anybody bothered free radio
I want to do a radio show where I can say what I want, when I want and that's free for anybody who can be bothered to listen.
broad comedies exactly favorite focus groups guest laughter onto people stick time tracks vision watching
That's exactly what it did on BBC2. The people that get onto focus groups are force-fed big, broad comedies with laughter tracks and guest appearances. They're not going to like 'The Office' the first time they see it because they're not going to know what they're watching exactly. But if you stick to your vision and auteur it the way you think it should be done, there are enough people in the world that are like-minded and they're going to find it and it's going to be their favorite show.
both cup exactly move seconds turn
They'd both tell you exactly what they wanted. 'Ashley, do this. Move the cup there. Turn round, take two seconds and then look.' And you just have to go, 'Yeah, you know what you're doing.'
andy bad idiot owes whereas
Brent was essentially an idiot who wasn't that bad but just wanted to be popular, ... whereas Andy has a different theme: The world owes him a living.
hit ideas list mad months people sam scripts send sent spend spent spoke three time wrote yes
We had a hit list of people we approached, ... We told them some of the ideas we had. Because we spent such a long time writing the scripts for each episode, it would be mad to spend three months on a script for Sam Jackson, send it to him, and he goes, 'Why would I do that?' So we got a preliminary yes out of them, and then went way, wrote the ideas, spoke to them on the phone, sent them the script, and they all said yes.
