We gear our purses toward the claiming ranks. With a $9,000 bottom it still makes it attractive to ship here. The same horses are running for $5,000 or less elsewhere. We know what we are. We have a majority of our purses earmarked toward claiming races. We have a strong claiming program.

The developer is challenging our system. There are a number of issues that have run smack in the face of our zoning ordinance. My take on it is, it's time to start fixing some of those problems.

We're always happy to be highly placed by any ranking, and we are very proud of our academic programs. But we always question whether rankings alone are enough for anyone to judge the quality of an institution.

There's a shortage of horse flesh. When we opened on Thursday we had a lot of races to fill. The change will help with races filling the following weekend.

As we all witnessed, this last storm pushed a lot of water through Cache Creek. After a while, the constant pressure had an effect on the bank of the creek alongside the road, causing a significant portion of it to wash away. For the safety of drivers, we're closing the road.

People are going to be coming from all over the United States and other countries to Wilmore to play at this golf course.

People who try to do the right thing and not park their RVs in the street have very little alternatives within the city.
