When I was at Providence, I'd feel like every day I was coaching to save my life. As you get older, hopefully you get smarter. I've learned that sometimes less is more.

Anyone close to our program knows the kind of kid and person he is. He knew a lot of the things that happened were his fault. He said he would fix it, and he did. I'm not sure I ever coached a player that spent as much time improving the kind of person he is as he did improving his basketball game.

P.J. showed today why he's the player he is. Not only you look at his line, but defensively what he did for us. You love anybody as a coach that's going to give you everything he's got.

I don't know if anyone can really understand the stress of coaches until you go through it. I love this business, as we all do, but it's a tough profession. There's a lot of stress.

Herb hasn't been appreciated the way he should be appreciated. He deserves more than the way he's been treated. He has poured everything he has into the job. I don't think they could find a better coach for their program.

If you want me to be quite blunt, I've got one of the best jobs in America. I have no desire to coach in the Atlantic Coast Conference or any other part of the country.

We tried to keep two guys down around the block. Every now and then we would float somebody into the high post. We felt like if we could take care of the ball, get it on the rim, that we could do some damage there. We ended with 17 of them (offensive rebounds) and that gave us 17 more opportunities.

The whole team put in a great effort and our inside game was just great. Back in the beginning of the season ... I knew it was going to be a tough finish for us.
