game helps name players playing team
Playing in a BCS game helps with getting the team name out there. Players are going to go where they think they can excel.
front player tackled type wish
I wish we would have tackled him better. He's the type of player you see right in front of you, but he makes you miss.
players
Most of our players have never been in there before.
case hoping next panic player trying veteran
They don't overanalyze everything like a veteran player can do. They're just trying to get through that day and the next play and that was the case a lot of times this year. They didn't panic because they didn't know any better. I'm hoping they keep that attitude.
fingers keeping leadership maybe player playing valuable
No question, he's maybe the most valuable player we have on the team, period. Not just from a playing standpoint, but also from a leadership standpoint. We're keeping our fingers crossed.
coached compete drill greatest guys learn looking love players win
As I told the team, we're not only looking for guys who can learn the system, we're also looking for guys who love to compete every day. The greatest players I've ever coached were guys who not only had talent, but wanted to win every drill they were in, and every play.
certainly football man member miss player understand valued
We will certainly miss Pac Man as a player and as a valued member of the Mountaineer football family, but I certainly understand his decision.
beat early good played players rivalry
I played here in the early '80's and it was a rivalry then. They've had a good team, with some good players and they've beat us pretty good.
bit certainly players
I do think sometimes the players were pressing. When we won, it wasn't by enough. We certainly didn't want them to feel it inside. But it was a little bit more difficult.
game happened players pressure
I don't want to put too much pressure on one game because it is just one of 11. Our expectations are high, and our fans' expectations are high, but I don't want our players to feel any undue pressure and go into a game pressing themselves. I think that's happened in the past.
couple hard mistakes player runs
He still made a couple of mistakes, but not as many as a first-year player usually makes. He has the right temperament for that position. He runs hard and he has a burst.
sure tough
What makes it tough is they're better for sure than they were two years ago,
asked boston college surprised waiting year
Would I be surprised if Boston College jumped? Are you kidding? I think they've been waiting to be asked for a year now, if not longer.
guys preaching season treat understand
We treat it as an 11-round season and our guys understand that, and if they don't, I'm going to keep preaching it because it's true. The more you win, the more that is at stake.
