afraid last mike played
Mike played outstanding. He played hard. We played different because we weren't afraid like we were last game.
defense guys putting took transition
We just pretty much took them out of transition by getting back on defense and just hunkering down and putting a lot of guys in the paint.
confusing covering josh nice taylor
We just had to find a groove. They did a nice job. Obviously, they scouted us and made it confusing for us. Josh Taylor was covering Antonio much of the time.
definitely last missing people piece puzzle second
Boy, did he come through in the second half. He's that missing piece of the puzzle we didn't have last year. If people think we don't have anything but Antonio, they're definitely missing the boat.
against almost athletic contrast exactly extremely game mirror played playing plays short style styles tall teams
There's no contrast in styles this game. It will be who plays their style of game better. We've played against up-tempo, athletic teams that were tall and short all the way up to the this point. Now, we're playing a team that's exactly like us, almost a mirror image. It's going to be extremely interesting to see how this goes.
defending good job limit nobody player shut successful taylor valuable
We had good weak-side help. Antonio did a good job of defending him. That's where it is really valuable having a player like Antonio. Nobody can shut down Taylor - we can limit him. We'll be successful like we were tonight.
ball dribble effort fighting impressed inside kept likes outside stay
We just couldn't let him in the paint. I was impressed with his effort to get the ball inside when I thought he would stay outside because he likes to dribble and be a guard. He kept fighting for rebounding position.
ball effort fighting foul hurt impressed inside kept push stay
I was impressed with his effort to get the ball in the paint. We thought we could push him around and make him stay outside. We leaned on him, but he kept fighting to get inside position. He made his foul shots, and that hurt us.
front game games hate intensity lost needed people pick playing
I hate to say it, but the intensity of this game after playing in front of 6,000 people two games in a row, I think we just lost our intensity. We just needed to pick it up.
contain holding pryor
We wanted to contain Pryor and holding him to 11 was big for us.
advantage controlled game job kept nice shoot size tempo underneath
That's something we try all year. We have the size underneath and we try to take advantage of it. Brentwood did a really nice job of making us shoot from the outside. They controlled the tempo - they didn't play and up and down game. They actually slowed the game down. They were smart. They kept it a low-scoring game.
team
We're not a pretty team to watch, but that's how we have to play to win.
They said man-to-man. They were up to the challenge.
deliberate likes run seen team
That's how we play. We use a very deliberate style. Jeannette likes to run up and down the floor. I don't think they've seen a team like us this year.
