buy club custom realm saw sets start using walk
It was the start of it, and now we're using 5-woods and all these hybrids. Everybody's got them now. It just wasn't in the realm of things back then. They didn't even make it. You saw a 5-wood in women's sets a little bit. That's why I went to a custom club shop. You just couldn't walk in and buy a 5-wood. ... We had 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-woods, and that was it.

ask career people putt remember shot specific trouble won
That putt, I'll always remember. People always ask me about one shot in my career that won a tournament, I really have trouble recalling a specific shot on an 18th hole. But I will always remember that putt right there.

bad cape chip course dad explosion fear greens hitting hours kid lands played shot spent
As a kid in Fayetteville, N.C., I played golf all day, every day, a lot of it by myself. I spent hundreds of hours around the greens at Cape Fear Valley, the course my dad owned, hitting every shot I could think of - the one-hop-and-release, the chip that lands dead, the explosion from a bad lie.
course golf incredible jay passive played weather yield
The weather was as passive as we're going to see it here, ever. The golf course would yield if you played well. Jay Haas played beautifully and had an incredible round.
bit format infuse life skins
I think the format is incredible. I think it was well thought out. I think the skins format has been the same for so long, I think it was getting a bit stale. I think this will infuse some life into it.
ask people putt remember shot specific trouble won
People always ask me about one shot that won a tournament, and I really have trouble recalling a specific shot. But I will always remember that shot right there. I'll remember that putt because I don't know how it went in.
good shot watched
I watched a really, really good round. He shot 68, and it could have been lower.
continue event regular tour
I continue to play because of the tradition. I'm not here to be competitive. I'm here to be part of the history. I would never go over and play a regular Tour event because I'm not competitive.
