I thought in the first half, when it was 0-0, that we were winning the hitting war at that time. I thought we were more physical. But they got the mo (momentum) and we had a hard time recovering. We need to get off to a good start on offense.

We've been suffering through the injury bug. We've got two collarbones broken and some other nicks, but these kids give a lot of effort and work hard. We just have to be a little smarter out there.

I was pleased with the way the kids played in the first half. We made too many mistakes. First-and-goal and it turned into fourth down. I thought to get something on the board would be positive but it didn't work out.

We have about 50 out, but it's been one thing after another getting them to practice whether it's been vacations or no rides. Other than that, it's been pretty good.

The defense stepped up and played a lot better tonight. They only gave up 13 points while last week they gave up 35.

I don't think I have ever had a start that bad. We were down 20 before we ever touched the ball. But Elmwood had a lot to do with that. Elmwood has a pretty good football team.

I'm real proud of the kids. They were hungry for a win. They deserve a win. I'm excited for them. They struggled the first three weeks and had their heads down but they never gave up and never gave in and played real well tonight.
