eight learn needs offense seven time
Devin will still be used on offense from time to time. On defense, he's got to learn a lot of schemes, a lot of sets. On offense, he just needs to learn seven or eight plays.
gain negative
If they get 1, 5 or 6 yards, I'm (ticked). I always think any gain is a negative play.
No, not really. This is about it. This is what it takes.
came compete guys junior last matter played senior
The other guys came in and they played well. Around here it doesn't matter if you're a senior or a junior or sophomore. It doesn't matter if you played well last year. You have to compete every day in practice.
adjust change miss player practice rhythm run taken wrinkles year
You can't change what you do because you miss one player in the game. The guy's taken reps in practice all year long. They have things that he can do and he's been there, so they're going to run their scheme. They may have little wrinkles here and there that we'll have the adjust to in the first quarter, and then get the rhythm of what they're doing.
dinner fitting involved last night option
It's fitting that the last night of the last play I am involved with at MHS to have a dinner option with it.
ability bunch effort great guys learns players plays supposed whoever
They will be great players if they put in the effort and do the things they are supposed to do, and they know it. But it's a bunch of guys around them that has ability just like them. Whoever learns it is going to play, and whoever makes the most plays is going to play.
best guys number youth
This is the best defense, collectively, because of our youth and the number of guys we're playing.
field
He's got to know the plays. He's got to know the situations. He's got to know the assignments. He's got to have the experience. There's really nothing magical. You've got to be able to get on the field and he unfortunately ... it's a shoulder, it's a hand, it's a knee, it's a stomach, it's this and that.
caught guys played running stayed stop trying
He was more patient. The guys stayed calm, didn't take chances. We just did our job. We didn't get caught up in trying to stop the running back, the quarterback or the receivers, we just played defense.
great players taken three
He'll potentially be a great player. Some players are great the first day, and some take two or three years. Because of his circumstances, it's taken a little longer. But I wouldn't give up on him.
city dinner honeymoon kansas theater wife
My wife and I went to a Kansas City dinner theater on our honeymoon and I've been doing them ever since.
best credit defense defensive five guys hard past people run won year younger
I can say over the past five years, this is the best defensive collectively, even better than the year we won it all. We were younger on defense and lot of people played, 22 every game. To play that many guys and still run around and not have a letup, that's hard to do. I give credit to to all those guys. They're the ones getting it done.
bright university
The future's always bright at the University of Miami.
