She had also been thinking of getting a dog and calling it Camilla Two.
If you think about your and my grandchildren, this is what really worries me. I don't want them - if I'm still alive by then - to say, 'Why didn't you do something about it?', when you could have done.
I think we'd be very foolish to expect that we can just import everything from somewhere else and imagine that that's going to last for ever and ever and ever
I think we're going to find, with climate change and everything else, things like global warming and goodness knows what else and the cost of fuel for a start, that things are going to become very complicated.
Humility is to make a right estimate of one's self. It is no humility for a man to think less of himself than he ought, though it might rather puzzle him to do that.
I think it's something that dawns on you with the most ghastly, inexorable sense. I didn't suddenly wake up in my pram one day and say 'Yippee, I ', you know. But I think it just dawns on you, you know, slowly, that people are interested in one, and slowly you get the idea that you have a certain duty and responsibility.

At the moment, they are worth more dead than alive-for soya, for beef, for palm oil and for logging, feeding the demand from other countries. ... I think we need to be clear that the drivers of rainforest destruction do not originate in the rainforest nations, but in the more developed countries which, unwittingly or not, have caused climate change.
These remarkable awards remind us of the compassion, decency and courage which still exists in every corner of the land.
And while saying that, I wonder, too, what extra role the United Nations might be able to play with regard to a country, for instance, like Zimbabwe whose independence celebrations I officiated at on behalf of the queen over 20 years ago and which is now undergoing such a traumatic experience.
Father told me if I ever met a lady in a (very low-cut) dress like yours, I must look her straight in the eyes
We feel proud of you; proud and grateful for everything you have done for your country and the Commonwealth over 50 extraordinary years.
I was very deeply saddened to hear that Alfred Anderson had died.
