couple happy hunt olympics races time
I'm really happy we are now consistently in the hunt for a podium spot. We only have a couple of races before the Olympics so it is time to get things in gear.
airport couple drive fly home kept might normal olympics road thinking took watch weeks
It's a long road he took to get here. That's why I was emotional. It just that it wasn't a normal road to get here. A couple weeks ago I didn't have a brakeman. Back home for Christmas, I kept thinking I might have to drive him to the airport in St. Moritz to fly home and watch the Olympics from there.
christmas home horrible olympics road sitting took watching
The road it took to get Lascelles here, it's unbelievable. I thought about that over Christmas and that it would just be horrible that he'd be sitting at home watching the Olympics and we're here competing.
athlete career careful emotions found olympics stir
The thing I found over my career is the Olympics stir up emotions in an athlete or in a person that have never been stirred up before ? and that's something you have to be careful of.

athletes best certain confidence gain learning poker races runners second seeing

avoid staying tried village
We tried staying away from the village to avoid distractions in 2002, and it was a logistical nightmare.
athlete best canadian proud represent team
I think he's the best athlete on the Canadian team and I know how proud he is to represent this country.
Patience, I guess. We still have some time.
banging best fallen trying until wall
That was probably the best combination until this one. And that one would have been first-second if I hadn't fallen into the sled, slipping trying to get in, then banging into the wall on the first turn.
difficult himself raises unique
Lascelles is a very unique individual. He's team-first and himself second. Sometimes that's very difficult to find in bobsled. He raises the competitiveness of all his team-mates.
win
I don't want to be a competitor; I want to win races.
bit motivation second sheet time tired
If that's how they want to play, they can look at the time sheet after the second run. I'm getting tired of it. That was a little bit of motivation on the second run.
chance driving good guys known people suited understand year
What a lot of people don't understand is this year we've actually been better in the four-man. Our sled is suited very well to this track. I've been driving it better here. I know the guys are going to go crazy. We've known all year we have a really good chance in the four-man.
