Too much thinking is a bad thing sometimes.
People go, 'Hey, did you do anything special for the Super Bowl?' Well no, I like to think I do the same amount of work every week getting ready for a game.

Winning a Super Bowl gives you a bigger chip in the game, and people perceive you to be better than you are. It gives you a stronger voice in the game. For a young quarterback, it verifies to the organization and to your teammates how good he is and that he's the man that can lead them. He'll carry that tag forever.

Of course Steve McNair is not going to get paid like Tom Brady and Michael Vick, but so what? But he should get his, and it shouldn't crush the football team.
No one else knew him like the Jets did. And it's important that you hire people you know sometimes because it gives everyone in the organization a level of comfort. You know this person has the level of belief in the things you want carried out.
