andy feed rocket roy shy sort
I think Rocket and Andy really like being on the big stage. They sort of feed off that a little bit. Roy doesn't shy down from it at all, but his personality is just much more low-key.
good prudent rocket sure tomorrow wait
I don't think it would be prudent on our part to wait to see what's going to happen. You try to make sure if we started tomorrow if Rocket wasn't here, you'd feel like you'd have a good team.
fine great hear himself job naturally pitchers rocket roy winner wonderful
He's a second-time 20-game winner and you don't hear much about it. Roy himself is not a self-promoter. He's very laid-back. He's very comfortable being in the back room. You have great personalities like the Rocket (Roger Clemens) and (Andy) Pettitte, who have done some wonderful things, so I think (the attention) naturally gravitates in their direction. But Roy has done a fine job for us and he's going to go down as one of the great pitchers in this decade.
anybody man might prepared rocket seen thrown whatever
Rocket might have thrown 10, 20 innings. I think he was prepared to do whatever it took. And that's the way the man is. I've never seen anybody like him. He's amazing.
clearly feels groove maybe mound rocket seemed sticky
Clearly he wasn't the Rocket that we've been seeing, ... He's fine. He feels fine. But I think maybe the sticky part of the mound got to him a little bit. It just seemed he never really got in a groove and never really got comfortable.
announced fighting guys lay major rocket roger wait worried
I'm not worried about that. I don't think that will be a major issue. I don't see that we would lay back and wait on Roger to make a decision. I think guys are going to be out there fighting to win, even if Rocket announced his retirement.
against ball bat care decent few good job pitches swinging team threw
We just had a lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight, more than I'd care to see, ... Brandon (Backe) threw the ball well. He had a lot of good pitches and only a few mistakes. That was a decent job against a team that is really swinging the bat well.
care
We just had a lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight, more than I'd care to see.
against bottom good job line missed pitches pitching zone
We missed some pitches that we should have hit, and we expanded the (strike) zone sometimes when we probably shouldn't have. But the bottom line is they did a pretty good job of pitching against us.
happening hits parts timely
What's happening is we're getting timely hits and we're doing it from all parts of the lineup.
balls three
We had three balls that should have been caught,
good normally
We had the lead. When we get it, normally we keep it. We will. We're good at it. We've been doing it all year.
advantages depth helps problem somebody
The problem comes if somebody doesn't get to play, and that's the advantages of depth and it helps the team, but some individuals will get hurt. I don't how that's going to work.
certainly pieces
We certainly have depth. That's one of the plusses, and we have pieces we can move.
