It doesn't surprise me to see him doing what he's doing. I think everybody recognizes that he's a talented guy who's a balanced tight end. He's a guy who can run and catch the ball, but he can also block pretty well.

They didn't have to put me in a room without a balcony or anything. I have a little bit of perspective. It's tremendously disappointing. It's hard for me to be in the locker room knowing what I cost these guys Monday night. Everybody at some point or another is going to go through something similar to this. I hope it's not as well broadcast as my failures were, but I think the other guys in here recognize on any given night that could be them.

Curtis is a special player in the history of this league. But like everybody else, we all are replaceable parts. You don't necessarily get equal value. But the beat goes on. We've had to replace a whole bunch of people. At some point, everybody gets injured.

I think I have the same concerns that every center has, that you're going to wind up on 'NFL Follies,' that you'll dribble one back or throw one over his head, ... I don't think it'll be difficult. Now that's probably the kiss of death right there.

We never were asked and certainly aren't being asked to carry this team and win games 35-31. We have a young guy in there at quarterback who is going to get his feet wet. There are going to be some growing pains, but I think this environment is a good place for a guy like that to learn because he does have 52 other guys who can play.

I don't think it will be difficult. That's probably the kiss of death right there. What quarterbacks are looking for is a consistent snap, wherever that may be. As long as I consistently get it there, we should be OK.

I don't blame anybody for not wanting to sit next to me, ... I wouldn't have wanted to sit next to me. I stunk tonight. I cost us the game. My mistakes were disasters.

We all know Curtis is a tough guy. He's going to play if he can play. It wasn't like our jobs could have gotten much harder anyway with these defences coming up. It's going to be a tough mountain to climb regardless.
