It was a pretty good win on the road. The kids played very well defensively.

We played 12 kids and 10 of them scored. We just didn't have anybody down the stretch who could make a hoop when we needed it.

I think we're peaking at the right time, just prior to the playoffs. The kids are really excited and they have brought the defense to our opponents, especially over the last six games.

Our shooting has not shown up here. We are a really good shooting team in gyms, in high school gyms. Up here is a different atmosphere. The depth perception is different.

We have to look for the pass more, too, instead of settling for the 3. When the 3 is not going, we can go to penetration.

Without (Christie) in the first half, we'd probably have been down 10. That's senior leadership.

(Milne) is playing with that urgency. He's a senior and he knows each game could be his last. He doesn't want it to end.
beaten hyde lost played six time valley
We've never beaten Valley in the tournament, We've always lost to them even when I was playing. We've probably played them about six times and always lost. Same as Hyde we've never beaten them, either. This was a long time coming.

I told the guys to play to win and not worry about losing.

It was a good trip. Everybody got a chance to play. Everybody contributed.
excited seem success supporting winter
Everybody's really excited about it. The community's really supporting us. We've had success like this in soccer, but not basketball. It makes the long winter seem a little warmer.
