We live in an age where... Christian bashing is a popular indoor sport; and films mocking Jesus Christ are considered avant-garde.
What's the Christian-bashing all about? Simple- a struggle for the soul of America is under way, a struggle to determine whose views, values, beliefs and standards will serve as the basis of law.
As for a climactic conflict between a once-Christian West and an Islamic world that is growing in numbers and advancing inexorably into Europe for the third time in 14 centuries, on this one, Breivik may be right.
Why was there not massive civil disobedience against this anti-Christian discrimination, as there was against segregation?
Christian morality, laws rooted in the secular humanist belief that all consensual sexual acts are morally equal. That belief is anti-biblical and amoral; to codify it into law is to codify a lie.
No true Christian can carry within his heart hatred for any of God's children . . . I am as aware as any other Christian that our Savior was Jewish, His mother was Jewish. The Apostles were Jewish. The first martyrs were Jewish...So no true Christian, in my judgment, can be an anti-Semite.
Many teachers of the Sixties generation said "We will steal your children", and they did. A significant part of America has converted to the ideas of the 1960s - hedonism, self-indulgence and consumerism. For half of all Americans today, the Woodstock culture of the Sixties is the culture they grew up with - their traditional culture. For them, Judeo-Christian culture is outside the mainstream now. The counter-culture has become the dominant culture, and the former culture a dissident culture - something that is far out, and 'extreme'.
America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.
we will not accept one-sided trade deals with Beijing, where we buy 40 percent of their exports and they buy 1 percent of ours.
We will no longer squander the blood of our soldiers fighting other countries' wars or the wealth of our people paying other countries' bills.
There's something that unites us all. It's the belief that citizens of the United States are citizens first before they're consumers and there are values higher than money.
Sanctions have become a way for the United States to vent its anger on the cheap without risking the lives of the armed forces,
programmed and scripted to stay away from controversy.
Or will it take some cataclysmic act of violence on U.S. soil to finally awaken our gamesmen to the costs of global hegemony?
