I've often called mothers the greatest spiritual teachers in the world.
We are Spiritual Beings have a Human Experience. Not the other way around.
I tried to empty myself and let the spirit of Sethe inhabit me.
We need to deprogram ourselves. I know for sure that you can't give what you don't have. If you allow yourself to be depleted to the point where your emotional and spiritual tank is empty and you're running on fumes of habit, everybody loses. Especially you.
For me at this time in my life I recognize that everything is about moving closer to that which is God. And without a full, spiritual center - and I am not talking about religion, I am talking about without understanding the fullness from which you've come you can't really fulfill your supreme moment of destiny....
Spirituality for me is recognizing that I am connected to the energy of all creation, that I am a part of it and it is always a part of me.
Tithe in kind where your spirit is fed.
I believe the choice to become a mother is the choice to become one of the greatest spiritual teachers there is.
I am extremely spiritual. I've not gone into this before because it's personal, but faith is the core of my life.
I learned that I could control my life. You are the master of your fate. . . you are the captain of your soul. I took control and went to my space. . . My space. . . the universal energy. . . I tapped into that space of divine flow, where all beings, all things are connected. That space is real. You cannot have a meaningful life without having spiritual self-reflection. Know who you are and why you are here. When you tap into that space, divine flow, that universal energy, you become untouchable in what you are called to do.
Every story about Oprah Winfrey Network was that it was struggling.I literally had a come-to-Jesus meeting with myself to say, 'Lord, what would you have me do?' What I know for sure is that the only way to hold onto yourself is through a spiritual base - otherwise you lose it.
It isn't until you come to a spiritual understanding of who you are - not necessarily a religious feeling, but deep down, the spirit within - that you can begin to take control.
Allowing the truth of who you are-your spiritual self-to rule your life means you stop the struggle and learn to move with the flow of your life.
What we're all striving for is authenticity, a spirit-to-spirit connection.
