appreciate best nature raider understand wish
I wanted to be here and appreciate the opportunity. I understand the nature of this business. I wish nothing but the best for the Raider organization.
ball chance coverage dictate might next primary understand
That was good. And I like (the players) to understand that that happens. I'd like it not to happen. But in our offense, on the very next play the coverage might dictate that he's the primary (receiver.) So, bang, give him the ball and give him a chance to go again. And Johnnie did good.
decision expect ready relatively understand
Obviously, I would expect a decision would be made relatively soon. As I said, I'm ready to go to work. If it's different than that, then I understand it.
biggest call eliminate guys situations understanding
The biggest thing is guys understanding what they are going to call and what they are not going to call. Then eliminate those situations when you are in that position, and you know it's going to get called. You just can't do it.
calls close coaching couple terms understand
keep coaching it. We had a couple of calls that were real close in terms of the 5-yard (chuck) rule. It's right at 41/2 or 5 yards. We just have to understand it is going to be called right close there, and if you are in a collision with a guy, you've got to get off him.
biggest call guys took understand
We took a look at all 16 (penalties). The biggest thing is that guys understand what (officials are) going to call and what they aren't going to call ... and if it's going to be called, you just can't do it.
along chances equation expectation level opening randy understand
I know what the expectation level is. We've got to give him as many chances as we can. Along the way, when he's opening things up for other guys, we've got to understand that's part of the equation of Randy being here.
good hit returned swing took
took a pretty good hit on a swing pass, but he returned (to the game) and he's fine.
absolutely block bring change chipping good job moving single whether
We have to do all the things you do, whether it be change up the cadence, whether it be chipping guys, whether it be doubling. They do a good job of moving inside-outside to keep you from getting a good double-team on them. They'll bring the linebacker with the end to that side. So at times you just absolutely have to single block them.
certainly expect heard past referred spoken
We certainly haven't heard anything from them and we don't expect to. From what I sw, and from everything that's been referred to me, everything was spoken in the past tense.
accurate field guys numerous rich seen side
I've seen Rich from the other side of the field numerous times. He's one of the more accurate guys I've ever been around.
biggest converted felt missed situations spent third time
These situations are the biggest thing. We've missed opportunities where we felt like we could have converted third downs. That's something that we spent a lot of time working on during the bye.
based guys performance
They always are. They always have been, ... Guys play or don't play based on performance.
behind game lost ready saying start streak wednesday win
As I keep saying we have to put this thing behind us. We lost Sunday. We've got to start getting ready Wednesday to go win a game on Sunday. Obviously, what we have to do is win a game, and then you win one, and you try to put your own streak together.
