Everybody was paranoid that it was going to be the same as it used to be. People had cold feet. They weren't sure. It's like getting back into a relationship that didn't work out real well. Once we got back in, we realized why it was so magical, but it took some prodding and some time, and everything just sort of worked itself out organically.
We've all grown up a lot, and we realize that small stuff is just small stuff, and we look at the big picture on every level. We think about the future, we think about music, and how to make music the best we can. There's nothing petty going on. It's very focused.
I don't think any of us realized how much work and how intense of a show it would be until we got into preproduction here in Los Angeles,
Everybody needs some real rock in their lives...whether it's bands like ourselves, Aerosmith or Stones...or new bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold...it's out there.
After I binged last night -or was it tonight - I was convinced yet again that there were people coming to get me. It was more than just shadows and voices, more than just fantasies....it was real, and I was scared to my core.My bones were shaking...m heart was pounding...I thought I was going to explode. I'm glad I have you to talk to, to write this down. I tried to keep it all together, but then I gave in to the manes and became one with my insanity.
When You've lost it all....thats when you realize that Life is Beautiful.
Everyone felt as if they were doing something really important. This song, both musically and lyrically, relates to many of the things that are happening now, as the hardest hit areas set out to rebuild.
I mean, you can hate us. I don't care if you hate us, but no one will ever sound like us.
SIXX: A.M. is a passion project. I think when you do things like that and put your heart into them and do your best and don't necessarily put them on a marketing grid, that's when things turn out the best.
We go to do the Billboard Music Awards to be a presenter, and we walk on stage, and we get a standing ovation from the industry.
We fit in there with all the dead movie stars.
And there's one thing that we all agree on in the band, which is: It's more important to have a great record than to rush getting it out.
And, you know, there's a brutality to us when we're together,
You can't do this, you can't take a picture of someone who has built their image up, I don't care who it is. You can't use that for your business.
