beat challenged consistent feels happy played player today
It feels good. I don't think it could get any better than this. I was pretty consistent today, and I'm happy with the way I played overall. I think I challenged her today and showed that I could beat a higher-ranked player when I'm on my game.
beat challenged consistent feels game happy hard higher improved played player ranked today
It feels good, ... I don't think it could get any better than this. I was pretty consistent today, and I'm happy with the way I played overall. I think I challenged her today and showed that I could beat a higher ranked player when I'm on my game. My game has improved and I'm happy, but I'm still going to keep working hard on everything overall.
bad good happy improved last playing progress steadily
I think I've been playing more steadily this year, ... Last year, I would have a good week, then a bad one, but I think this year, I've improved my consistency. I know there is a lot to improve, but I'm happy with my progress so far.
calm definitely good improve rhythm stay tried
I thought my rhythm was off today, and I didn't feel so good out there. After I was 4-3 down (first set), I tried to stay calm and get focused. I was able to get through the match, but I definitely need to improve my game.
again closed good hope meet moving won
I thought it was a good match, ... I hope that I would have won anyway, and I think I could have closed it out, but those are just 'maybes.' I thought she was moving really well and got to a lot of balls. I hope that we'll meet again in a final.
break close happy playing rhythm second trying winning
I got my rhythm in the second set and was able to close out the match. I'm not trying to break any records. I'm just playing and winning and just happy about that.
hit mean upset
I didn't mean to hit it that way. I was upset and I was dumb.
achieve good improve
I don't feel good about today's match, ... I didn't play well at all. I have to improve to achieve something here.
My expectations are higher, ... I think if I play my best, I can go at least to the final.
experience final learning process season stepped top tournament
I'm always a lot into the matches. She's a top player. She stepped up her game. It's a learning process and you get experience every match. I'm relieved. It was my final tournament of the season and I'm tired.
definitely fine florida last week
It was definitely humid. Last week I was in Florida where it's 10 times more humid, so I'm fine with it.
question
I think the question is, 'What was not the problem?
mentally physically
Physically I was well, mentally I was well. I just never got into my rhythm.
confidence court second slow winning
Sure, I have a little confidence after winning two titles, but everything is new here. It is new balls, a new court and different temperatures. It's very different than Seoul and Tokyo. It was a slow start, but then I got more comfortable in the second set and was able to get the win.
