I've worked with Kirby and Bo and know the qualities they possess. They both have coached at successful major college programs, allowing them to make a smooth transition to the NFL. They are excellent teachers and will be positive additions to our staff.
We didn't do what we needed to do to get a stop. We have to do a better job as coaches getting our players ready so we have a better chance to be successful in those situations and we have to be more consistent in the way we perform.
Gus has a good understanding of the offense. He's very knowledgeable, and we felt he would give us the best opportunity to be successful and develop this offensive team.

You would hope that a guy would want to do something for positive reasons, because he wants to be successful and he buys into the things that can make him successful at what he does.
If that is what it takes and gives us the best opportunity to win, the best opportunity to be successful and play winning football on offense, it's not something we wouldn't consider doing,
We have to compete within ourselves relative to the determination it takes to be successful.
If you don't get result-oriented with the kids, you can focus on the things in the process that are important to them being successful.
The formula for success is every guy can make a difference for the entire team in whatever his role is. And to do it right, to get it right, is a critical factor in being successful.
Focus on the process of what it takes to be successful.
The process is really what you have to do day in and day out to be successful, we try to define the standard that we want everybody to sort of work toward, adhere to, and do it on a consistent basis. And the things that I talked about before, being responsible for your own self-determination, having a positive attitude, having great work ethic, having discipline to be able to execute on a consistent basis, whatever it is you're trying to do, those are the things that we try to focus on, and we don't try to focus as much on the outcomes as we do on being all that you can be.
We tried to put ourselves in a position that that wouldn't be a factor for us right now.
We tried to create a little bit of an identity as a team today. I'm proud of the effort that we put in and the way we persevered and overcame adversity. The big thing that this team did today was they had a little tenacity, a little perseverance. And I think that's something you definitely need in this league relative to the competitive balance and what you have to do to win games.
We just want to continue to be able to let them develop and progress. We're not disappointed in anybody. We're actually encouraged by our ability to throw the ball with consistency in the game by all the quarterbacks.
