Sam has worked hard and played very well for us. He has gotten better and better all year long and has especially played well in the second half of the season. He has been a good guy on our team.
Maybe this guy (Denney) won't mess up twice in a year after he's done it in 10 years, ... But if we were to cut this guy, he would have gotten claimed. And if you watch him snap you would feel the same way. We're not going to second-guess anything that we did.
I saw one of our guys get his helmet ripped off and the (referee) was standing right there looking at it, ... I said to him, 'What did (McMichael) do that was worse than a guy ripping Sammy Morris' helmet off right in front of him?' I'm not saying he shouldn't have gotten a penalty. I'm just saying: Is there such thing as consistency?
He played with a lot of poise and he executed. It's a positive that the results were gotten by a systematic approach of doing the right things, and it paid dividends in results for him. I hope he gains confidence in his ability to do that in the future.
We tried to put ourselves in a position that that wouldn't be a factor for us right now.

The big thing that this team did today was they had a little tenacity, a little perseverance. We certainly feel both those players are capable. Sometimes when you play corner I think it's very important that you play with confidence and do the things you need to do technique-wise.
