balls concrete fields good ground night rain weather work
Boy, the infield is like concrete out there. Ground balls get by you in a hurry. We can use the good weather to get our work in but you'd like to see a little rain at night to soften up the fields a bit.
awful beginning bit guys pleased relaxing shaky worked
You get nervous, but you can't play scared. We've got to get better. That's how you get better. We were awful shaky in the beginning and guys started relaxing a little bit and got better. I was pleased with the way it worked out.
awful guys pleased relaxed shaky work
You get a little nervous. But you can't play scared, and we have to get better. We were awful shaky in the beginning, but guys relaxed and started getting better. I was pleased with the work done.
base baseball complexion guys hit home seemed sitting team traded trying work
When we traded Richie, the whole complexion of the team changed. We always seemed to be sitting back and trying to hit the home run. Now we've got guys in the lineup who work the counts, get on base and manufacture runs. That's the kind of baseball we want to play here.
comfort work
We like Dana. We just want him to get over there and get straightened out and work his way back to the big leagues. We want him to get in a comfort zone.
business care prince takes win worked
It was a big win right there. Prince takes care of business like that. It worked out just great.
brady consistency trying whatever work
I think Brady will work out whatever is going on with him. I'm just trying to get some consistency in our offense.
maximize trying work
I was just trying to maximize our matchups, ... It didn't work out.
asked defense hard played worked
He's done everything we've asked him to. He's worked very hard on his defense and played very well defensively.
ended work
When they got the big inning in the third, it ended up costing us the game. That's something we'll work on all year.
command extended good key seen works
He works at it. That's the key to his growth. His command has been as good as I've seen it over an extended period.
extremely game grew knows work
He knows what he's doing and knows what he wants. He grew up in this game and knows the game extremely well. I think he still has to work on his defense, but he will play every day.
baseball breaking command continue fastball game issue mechanical struggling work
He's really struggling to command the baseball right now. He's struggling to command his fastball and his breaking ball. It's just a little mechanical issue that we'll continue to work on. But he got a little better as the game went on.
bats exception games seems swinging team
We've been swinging the bats OK, with the exception of (Wednesday night), ... I think every team has those games where it seems like you can't get anything done.
