I remember back in the day, when Jordan wore the 7s, something magical always happened. He always performed at high levels, but it was something different when he laced up the 7s. Some of the Jordans still have that juice that MJ left in them, and the 7 is one of them.
I usually dig the single-digit numbers, but No2 is retired. I'm going to change it up and wear No10. I'm going to wear it for Messi, my favourite soccer player. I've been playing a lot of FIFA lately and watching the games. He's the best little guy to do it and I've got to be the best little guy to do it at No10 in the NBA. That's my goal.
In college, the fans cheer the whole game, from start to finish. In the NBA it's really laid back.
Now I've probably got to be more aggressive and pick up where [Marbury] left off, but I'm just going to take it how it comes. I'm not going to force it. I'm going to let the game come to me.
It was a great idea from my teammate Jamal Crawford. He kept telling me to jump over Spud, so we decided to call him and he was more than willing to participate with me. I just thank God for him.
It was just weird. Once you get the ball and you get in a situation, it's like haywire, everything goes crazy, and everybody's running around. You don't know who to pass it to or what to do. So Coach said just slow down and just make the right play. I tried to get the best look I could at the basket.
God blessed me with a lot of heart and no height, and I’ll take that any day,
You've got to get used to it. He said you need a great point guard to be a great team. I just take that into consideration that he wants me to be great. They don't call me Nate the Great for nothing. I've got to live up to the name and live up to the expectations that he wants. He's hard on me and I love it.
I'm pretty far along, but I still got a long way to go. Coach says I have to take it in steps and it's something I'm learning to do every day, just come in and pay attention more and more to details, the little things I can do to make myself better.
