Winning the district championship outright is up to us. It's always good to control your own destiny, and it'll be good to be at home for two games over spring break.

We picked up right where we left off. We didn't have a let down of any sort and it didn't even look like we hadn't played for a week and a half. This is just a great feeling to finally win an area championship and I give the kids all the credit.

Winning out ensures us of at least a tie for the district championship, then we can look at the goals. We can't let the goals get ahead of winning the games.

Winning matters first, but every goal matters the rest of the way, too. It can change every game.

This has a chance to be for the district title. If we beat them we'll be tied and if we lose we'll be behind them by two games. That will be hard to make up since we should both win out the rest of the way.

I don't think anyone else knew but me. I was confident in us winning the game, but it was nice to have all that out of the way right there at the beginning.

It was an unbelievable game. This is what the playoffs are all about. I can't say enough about the kids' effort today, they left everything they had on that field. We played great and we fought until the end. I couldn't be any prouder of every one of them.

There won't be any mystery and we won't be intimidated. We've played them before and it's hard to beat a team twice in the same year, we know. They have to defend their championship every game and they can be beaten at anytime. We're just as likely to knock them off as anyone else.

We went through a rough period there in the middle where we lost six or seven in a row and kind of got down. We turned it around and built the offense up, but we know that we're going to have to play much better in the playoffs against even better opponents.

We had a long bus ride and it looked like it in the first half. We were a little flat in the first half, but it's hard to get up for a team that has struggled for years.

We're used to playing when it's about 60 degrees, and with it being 90 today, it took a little more out of us.

That was one of the best halves I've seen us play in a long time. We moved the ball all over the field and the communication was good.

We can't come out flat like we did tonight, we have to play two strong halves. Wylie is a young team with a lot of sophomores, but they played hard. Mineral Wells is a little bit of a lesser opponent, but we can't expect them to just roll over for us.
