Mike Shulais an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Shula has been with the Panthers since 2011, when he was hired as their quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator after Rob Chudzinski was hired to be the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. No, I couldn't have imagined that. Nor do I understand completely how it works. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to or ever want to. It's something you can't control, other than by winning each and every week.

There's so much attention paid to this game for a number of reasons, because it's a rivalry and the things that have happened the last couple of years. I think the most important thing is the game is for bragging rights. This year, anyway, it's our time to brag.

The effort was really, really good. I thought we looked real good on defense. We talked about getting to the ball and making plays. Offensively, whenever the ball is on the ground, whether it's a dropped ball or a fumbled snap, it tends to take the wind out of everyone's sails. I think that's what happened. We had a chance to make big plays and didn't do it and guys got frustrated.
