Michael Lorri Sciosciais an American former Major League Baseball catcher and current manager for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He has worked in that capacity since the 2000 season, and is currently the longest-tenured manager in Major League Baseball. As a player, Scioscia made his major league debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1980. We feel we have a good young arm going against those guys, and the only way you're going to beat pitching is to match them pitch for pitch.
Brendan, we feel, can be effective against any hitter up there. I felt in that position to try to let Brendan go against Ibanez. Unfortunately, Ibanez got the hit and tied the game.
