The last week of spring training is basically the start of the season. You take everything you've worked on in camp and put it all together.

I think I need to play every day. I look at it in a positive way. I've been through a lot worse in this game.

I think whatever position I get to play at and get comfortable at is my best position. I actually feel great in the outfield, I feel great at first, I feel great at third and I feel great at short.
ball catch good higher left shocked spot stands trying wall
I was pretty shocked to catch it. I wanted to get to the spot and give it a good shot. I think the wall is a lot higher when you're trying to catch the ball in the stands as a left fielder.
great knows teaches
He knows so much about the game. He's such a great teacher. The thing about him is that everything that he teaches you, he's doing it for a reason.
balls hit outfield played
Those were the first two balls ever hit to me. It's cool. It's different. I never played outfield before.

A play like that one today was nice, because the fans gave me a good ovation. And a play like that makes it look like I know what I'm doing.

I hired a guy who cooks for Raul and he got me on a good eating regime. I think it helped me a lot. I never really knew how much eating right can actually help you and give you energy.
opportunity positive sitting
I need to get at-bats and I need to play every day. It's better than sitting around. I look at in a positive way, that this is an opportunity to show them I can play up there.
core eight pounds worked
I'm only eight pounds heavier, but I'm much stronger. I can rotate so much better. We worked a lot on the core muscles.

I've been through a lot worse. I need to get at-bats, play every day, instead of being up there just sitting around. I look at it in a positive way. I need to show them I belong.

There's always a salad. I've never eaten so much salad. And strawberries. I bet I eat a half-pound of strawberries a day.
