believe
I still don't even believe I'm here and I'm playing.
burnt looked
I started smelling burnt rubber. I looked around, and (the kitchen) was just smoke-filled.
guy obviously pennant problem wait
Doug's been here all year, so obviously he's the guy that's going to play, especially being in a pennant race, ... I'm a young guy and I still have to wait for my turn. But I have no problem with that.
bottom excited game line win
You get a little more excited for a game like this and when you do well it makes you feel good. But the bottom line is we didn't win the game and that's what we're here to do and not make one person feel good.
feeling great happy obviously situation
I was obviously happy for the guy. To get called up and be put in a situation like that and be able to come up big like that is awesome. It must've been a great feeling for him because I know it was for me.
closest national
I think he's the closest we've had to a national figure.
dollars economic federal finally greater mean positive share wisconsin
I think it would have a positive economic impact. I think it would mean Wisconsin would finally get a greater share of where the federal dollars are spent.
help
With me being new to the position, he can help show me a lot of different stuff. That's right up my alley.
hit
I don't think you can do anything with the numbers. You still have to have hand-eye coordination. You still have to hit the ball.
learn personal situation veteran
I don't know too much about the situation and I don't get into personal stuff, ... But just to see a veteran going through what he's going through, you always learn from that.
bet
I bet you can play some bad-ass Madden on it,
certain facial manager wants
I don't have too much facial hair, so unfortunately for me, it's not an option. If the manager has certain things he wants his way, you have to go with it.
ball chance experience home hopefully next starting stay ultimate winter year
Obviously, that's still the ultimate goal, to be here and stay here. I'm going to go home in the offseason and I'm going to play winter ball and get some experience down there, and hopefully next year I'll have the chance to win a starting job.
confident exciting glad good hitter leagues obviously opening stick year
Obviously if I was in another lineup, I'd probably not be the cleanup hitter. So for me, personally, it's kind of an honor. I'm glad they feel confident in me to put me in that position. For me, it's just exciting to be in the big leagues opening up. Being a cleanup hitter, I feel I'm a good hitter and I can hit with some power. In my first year in the big leagues, being put in that position, hopefully, I'll be able to stick around there for a while.
