That was my first two years at the Academy; I was his assistant coach, his JV coach. When he was at the Academy, I was at Holy Ghost.

Z played great tonight. He was 15-of-16 from the line, but I don't remember the one he missed. He called a play for himself in the huddle down the stretch and was the key tonight. He made some big plays.

He struggled from the free-throw line, but I have to look in the mirror myself. I played the guy 48 minutes. It's tough on anybody to play 48 minutes and do what he does for our basketball team.

In the second half, I thought our guys came out and they played basketball the right way. We were able to get stops and we were able to get out on a run. And that lasted for most of the third quarter.

We were really flat coming out. But we got mentally tougher as the game went along.

We lost him a few times in transition. Once he got hot, he knocked down a couple shots and it helped his confidence. Both he and Caron stepped up at the right time to help their team win.

We got our butts beat. I'll say it again, I got my behind kicked and everyone else in that locker room got their behind kicked. Simple as that.

Even if it's just a matter of a simple vote, we all use (parliamentary procedure) at some point. It's a good leadership training activity.

Even though his scoring was down, he got more kids involved which made us more of a threat.

Ben is quick, athletic, strong, tenacious and hungry -- the whole nine yards. He makes it tough because you are afraid to drive the basketball when you know he's back there.

Ben (Wallace) slapped him on the wrist. (And) he got kicked in the leg. The trainer just needed to ice it. He's fine.
