ball three turned
We turned the ball over three times, ... You can't do that in this league.
ball chances football learning liked nfl threw throw virginia
I think I have a lot of learning to do. Back at Virginia Tech, I threw the ball enough, but not as much as I would have liked to. I think in the NFL you have a lot more chances to throw the football downfield. It's going to be a challenge.
ball catch last throw time trying
We're all trying to get on the same page. I want to throw the ball right at them so they can catch it. I didn't do that all the time last year.
ball last matter seeing time trying
Man, this time last year, I was just trying to make the right reads, ... Now I know 90% of the playbook. I'm seeing it. It's just a matter of getting the ball there.
ball capitalize game guys involved
I've just got to get the ball to guys and get them involved in the game and capitalize on our opportunities, and I know we will do that,
ball gift hard short sort standpoint throw throwing worry
It's a gift from a quarterback's standpoint that all you have to do is throw the ball up for the guys, ... You don't have to worry about throwing to short targets. That's sort of hard to do.
ball efficiency hear passing pocket prove question throw trying
They say I can't throw the ball from the pocket and my passing efficiency isn't that good, so I had to show everybody. It's not trying to prove to the world, because I know what I can do and the Falcons know what I can do. From here on out, I don't want to hear that question again.
ball hand protect shook trying whether
That shook me up a little bit. Now, I'm trying to protect myself. I'll do anything possible, whether it's getting the ball out of my hand or going down if I have to. If I've got to take the sack, I'll take the sack.
ball business care great job last moved ourselves proved supposed took
I think we proved ourselves in the preseason. We took care of our business when we were supposed to. As an offense, we moved the ball efficiently. We were able to be consistent, and those were things we didn't do a great job of last year. We're ready.
ball bit might player run team
I run the ball a little bit more than other quarterbacks so, that might take away from some of his catches. You have to be a team player when you come here.
attempts ball easier game good hurting maybe passing pressure run takes throw
I don't know if I can, ... Maybe not, man. My passing attempts are not where they need to be. I need to throw the ball 30 to 40 times a game for me to have those numbers, but our run game's so good that I won't say it's hurting me, but I won't complain, because it's a lot easier and it takes a lot of pressure off me, too.
ball conscious effort hands knocked looking pocket protect run throwing time
If you think about the fumbles, one of them I was throwing the ball and the other time I wasn't looking and the ball got knocked out of my hands when I was in the pocket, ... I try to make an effort that every time I run the ball and every time I'm in the pocket I should protect it, but sometimes there is just nothing you can do about that. You see it all around the league, and it's just something that you have to be conscious of, but at the same time it's hard, to tell you the truth.
ball dropped jim kid looking since tough wild
The kid hasn't dropped a ball since he's been here. You see him make the tough grabs and the wild catches that Jim is looking for.
atlanta beat bit both critical focus games great looking obviously ourselves playing road sides situation step week win work worry york
We are very critical of ourselves and of how we play and what we do as Atlanta Falcons, ... We know that we have some work to do on both sides of the ball, and that's what we are looking for from our team: improvement. It would be a great situation to be in, 5-2 and 1-0 in the division. It's a great step for us, and obviously as we come back we have to win games and step our own game up a little bit as we get into playing more divisional opponents. We have to really focus in and beat New York this week and worry about what is down the road a little bit later.
