I have what you might call the South Pole and the North Pole. I have my team and my work, which I do on one side, and I have my family and my home on the other side. Both have nothing really to do with each other.
I will do everything I can to bring the number one to Ferrari. The whole team and all the fans deserve it.
When you start out in a team, you have to get the teamwork going and then you get something back.
Ferrari always tries to get the best possible drivers, and my fellow team members have always been highly promising people.
I like working in a team, and at Ferrari there is always good cooperation.
The switch from ten-cylinder to eight-cylinder engines means that each manufacturer has to redevelop its power train. Not all will manage to successfully combine performance with reliability the first time around. That could shake things up a bit when it comes team hierarchy.
You arrive at Formula One being very skeptical, how far can your talent deal with all this, and then you understand those guys are human and pretty reasonable, and finally succeeding in winning your first race, in circumstance as such, it was just an amazing moment.
It was a bit of a struggle, but luckily we know overtaking is nearly impossible here.
I look forward to fighting them again next season.
I have been in Formula One for 12 years, and out of that I had one year with the perfect car.
I feel very different. After you've had a story of success like we had, to then have a hard season, you sort of get tired by the end of it. To then be off the pace all winter would be very tough. Very consuming on the energy side. Now, it's the opposite of last season. You feel so much more motivated and happy to run with this car, to see you're there and that you can fight them, maybe. It's great.
I always have special feelings when Spa comes around but I have to admit our recent performances are dampening my enthusiasm,
I mean, that is bad luck as well, and if you lose it would be terrible, so this is good news to do it. Every championship is the best. It is a super effort from my people, from the team, from Fernando, we are very happy.
I just want to be known as a very normal person and be treated as that and be able to walk down the street like anyone else.
