My advice is find fuel in failure. Sometimes failure gets you closer to where you want to be.
In reality, I never want to grow up.
All I wanted to do was to improve, to keep getting better.
If I have an agenda or a goal, no one is going to deter me from what I want to do.
If you put your mind to doing whatever it is you want to do, good things can happen.
I want to play for years.
I want to be perceived as a guy who played his best in all facets, not just scoring. A guy who loved challenges.
I want to be the bridge to the next generation.
You always have to focus in life on what you want to achieve.
Authenticity is about being true to who you are, even when everyone around you wants you to be someone else
I've missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot . . . and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
We had felt that a merger with another consulting firm might create a stronger entity, ... That turned out to be probably too big a bite for the other consulting firm.
We gave up two five-on-three goals. And that really hurt us.
I don't want this to feel like a funeral.
