Sanderson's got a quick release, a quick shot. When he came in, he went to his forehand. I exploded over there. He shot it about an inch over my pad, a good move. He's got quick hands, a lot of speed.
coaches definitely honor season year
There's not a whole lot of coaches that can say they've got 300 wins. That's definitely a big honor, especially in a season like this year where it's a 100-point season. It's big. That's big all around.
ready saves three tough
I was ready to go. It's not easy. Shootouts are never easy. It's three saves for a win. You just have to tough it out.

I was ready to go, but it was just one of those nights. You can't dig yourself a hole like that and expect to come out.

I was in a meeting in Detroit where they asked about certain pieces of equipment, about certain changes that they wanted to make, and they listened. Making the nets bigger wasn't really an ideal situation, we all knew it. Going drastically down to like 10-inch pads was dangerous. Guys tried 'em. It was not right. With all the additions and all the new rules, you needed maybe to go just halfway and really trust one another that it was going to work. And it does. It's worked well.
chance definitely feels good pipes
It feels great. I got a chance to play, and it was definitely good to be back in the pipes and good to play the way we did.
crashing game good kept marty played road saves
We played a very good road game for two periods. We were all over them. Marty made some big saves that kept them in the game. If we play like that on the road, defensively and crashing the net, we'll be OK.
coming intention top welcome whoever
I don't care. I want it. I welcome it. Whoever comes out on top is going to be the better for it. And I have all the intention that I'm going to be coming out on top of everything.
bit care legs practice shaking welcome
I didn't care one bit if my legs were shaking at the end of practice. I want it; I welcome it. That's how we're going to get better.
controlled fresh guys players running three time zone
We rotate a lot of players in those positions. The guys go out there 20, 25 seconds. The first time it's out of the zone we get a change, get some fresh legs. That allows us to get a lot of pressure, and it's a controlled pressure. When one guys goes, the other three know how to respond. It's not a free-for-all, running around.
game reason team
We can't use that as an excuse. We're a much better team than what we showed. That's not the reason why the game went the way it did. We all know that and that's all that's got to be said for that.

It was rock bottom. It couldn't get any worse than that.
bad biggest coming last playoff point relief stretch though three year
It was a relief to get that one point and clinch a playoff spot. Even though this last stretch was a bad one, the biggest stretch of the year is coming up in three weeks.
