decide edmonton fate games hockey huge obviously starts three winning
We will find a way to get back to the winning ways. It starts obviously in Edmonton now with three huge games that are probably going to decide the fate of our hockey club.
desperate fresh start team
We got a fresh start here tonight. We're a desperate team and we need the wins.
chance developed good gotten great
Every chance he's gotten to play he's been great for us. He's really developed into a good goaltender.
doubt initiate
We didn't initiate anything. There was no doubt they were outworking us.
finish seemed simple tonight tried trying work
We didn't have the bounces tonight and it's as simple as that. It seemed like everything they tried went in and then we're trying to work our way back and we just couldn't finish it.
bond changes create deep expect friendship guys time together
We all expect some changes to be made. It's sad, especially for this group. We've been together such a long time that you create a deep bond and friendship with the guys in here.
came caught flying focus individual teams trademark
I don't have the answers. It has to do with individual focus that we're not ready. It used to be our trademark that we always came out flying and caught a lot of teams by surprise, and we haven't had it this year.
against chances exactly fault guys happen hard mistake tough work
My fault on the first (goal) and then we let another mistake happen and we're down 2-0 and that's exactly what we didn't want to do against these guys because they're a disciplined team, they work hard and they're tough to get chances against.
belong
Right now, I don't think I belong in the worlds.
bottom difference finish line year
It does make a difference to finish off with a win. It's been a disappointing year for us. I don't think it was just one thing that went wrong, but the bottom line is a lot of us didn't play up to our potential.
coaches happens shake trying
That's what happens when things are not going the way you're hoping. The coaches are trying to shake things up to get us going.
gave hard played
I think they gave us a lot of opportunities to get chances. I didn't think they played as hard as I expected.
good key played power
Our power play was good tonight. It's such a key thing the way the game's played now.
legs skating
It comes with skating and having that flow. Once we get our legs going, we're going to get way more chances.
