Right now, we think he'll be 100 percent, ... (Monday) was the first time we let him do everything, and he had no setbacks. I watched him close, and I saw no signs of him limping around or gimping around.
We have our schedule set up so the mornings are about business and after lunch is time to enjoy the bowl.
Today was kind of a dress rehearsal for a dress rehearsal. We're a little ahead of schedule, as you always are this time of year.
If a guy thinks every time he drops a ball you're going to drop him out of the lineup, it's very hard for him to gain confidence,
(One game) we have looked like a finesse team, a passing team, run it here and there. And the next time we just flat out ran it and didn't even do anything to try and loosen the perimeter.
We put the onus on the defense one more time and they made the plays again, thankfully. Running game, field position, defense. It isn't pretty sometimes.
It's been talked about a lot, probably more than most (openers) for us, and that's because we're playing a great team. It's a team that wins almost every time they play.
It's just different from anybody we've seen. Thankfully, we've had time to practice and prepare for it.
I try not to be too hard on him. We have a good time when we get together.
They bought a lot of time on that play. They allowed the quarterback to see it really well, stop and set his feet and make a really pretty throw.
We're hoping by the time we roll around in the fall we could take that variable of 'How much does a guy really know?' out of it. If he is struggling with the learning of it, he is probably not going to play. If he understands it, now it is more of a competition.
We were all excited about how the interview was going. I was thrilled to have him back, but it was a little bittersweet because we saw what Coach Ball had to offer also. This time around when a position became available I didn't need to do any interviewing.

I was a little befuddled, ... I've seen guys making plays all the time in practice, and I'm like, 'What's the problem?' But when you'd look at the tape, it really was just one guy making a mistake.
