It was very, very competitive, and a lot of great things happened on both sides of the ball. A lot more of what spring ball should look like if we're going to be successful around here.

They both weren't a good option, I didn't think.
It came down to me and Gully. We both had S, and it was going down to the wire, and I shot the old free throw with the eyes closed and put him away, ... It was the most dramatic game of H-O-R-S-E in the three-year history of the tournament, and I'm still the undefeated champion of H-O-R-S-E at my house.

If you look at him as a fifth-year senior who's both a leader and a quarterback, I'd say he's doing a really good job. If you look at him as a first-year starter, he's doing an unbelievable job. I don't know where we would be without him.

I've tried to keep it simple for him and just say, 'Protect the ball and relax,' ... I don't expect him not to have pregame jitters or not have a ball spray on him here or there. I've seen a guy have an ACL (injury), then on the first day back, he blows it again, ... Then they repair it again and he goes on to 10 years in the NFL. Sometimes they take better than others.
